THE OPENING CEREMONY OF THE 2009 - 2010 ACADEMIC YEAR
In the exciting atmosphere in which millions of students nationwide are starting a new school-year, Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics and Public Administration, on 7th morning September 2009, solemnly held the opening ceremony of the 2009 – 2010 school year.
On the Academy side, present at the ceremony are Prof, Dr Le Huu Nghia, Member of the Party Central Committee, President of the Academy; Vice-presidents: Associate professor Doctor Nguyen Dang Thanh, Associate professor Doctor Truong Thi Thong, Associate professor Doctor Le Quoc Ly; Permanent members of the Party executive Committee; Permanent members of the Trade Union, leader representatives of Journalism and Communication Academy; leader representatives of the Academy; leader representatives of Departments and Academies; the functional units affiliated the President of the Academy together with over 500 students of the advanced theory classes of politics – administrative and full – time bachelor classes of politics at the Centre of the Academy.
On behalf of the leaders of the Academy, Prof, Dr. Le Huu Nghia made a speech opening the 2009 – 2010 school year, praising the achievements and efforts made by a teachers’ collective, functional units of the Academy and students in the academic year 2008 – 2009 who have strived for many results respectably and encouragingly in teaching, learning and serving; assigned tasks to the teachers, the functional units of the Academy from the beginning of the new school year who have to be deeply aware of their responsibility to bring into full play the strength, good points, determinedly carry out successfully the 2009 – 2010 duties with the topic: “ promoting the renovation vigorously, comprehensively, enhancing the quality effectively, making noticeable changes in the personnel training and fostering work, scientific research and other businesses with a view to meeting really well the new demands and tasks in the new stage”; at the same time requesting students to be deeply aware of their responsibility while living and studying in the Academy. The Academy is the place which provides them with not only opportunity to improve their knowledge and scientific approaches to their practices but also a good environment for virtue development. Therefore, each person has to make a constant effort.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu, a student of A70 class, on behalf of students made a speech expressing her deep thanks for the Party’s commitment to the training of the successors in political theory. She also expressed her pride in studying in an Academy under the name of the beloved Uncle Ho as well as her appreciation of the support provided by the leaders of the Academy, the teachers and functional units of the Academy. Finally she promised with strong determination to complete the training program successfully as required by the Party and state regulations and rules of the Academy.
